Service Description

Southern Swell Coastal Adventures offers authentic hands-on fishing charters out of Sooke, BC, led by Captain Don- a seasoned local who knows these waters, tides, and fish movements. Target species include halibut, Chinook Salmon, Pink Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Lingcod/ Rock Fish depending on the season and conditions. Trips use a variety of proven West Coast techniques - trolling for salmon, drifting productive zones, and bottom fishing for halibut and lingcod - maximizing your chances for action and success. We are a truly family-friendly charter. Beginners, kids and experienced anglers are all welcome, with patient instructions and a relaxed atmosphere that makes everyone feel comfortable on the water. If your catch is within legal limits, it's yours to keep - and it will be professionally cleaned and filleted for you at the end of the trip, ready for the table. You'll fish aboard a 22 ft Hewescraft aluminum boat, designed for West Coast conditions, which can accommodate up to 5 passengers. The vessel is fully equipped with downriggers and all essential gear, including quality rods, reels, bait and lures - no experience or equipment needed. An onboard toilet provides added comfort for longer trips, and light snacks and bottled water are included to keep everyone fueled and refreshed. Before boarding, everyone in your group must purchase a valid local fishing license. Please note that some species may be closed, restricted, or require a tag to retain, depending on current regulations. Whether you're chasing trophy salmon, battling a deep-water halibut, or introducing the family to their first ocean catch, Southern Swell Coastal Adventures delivers a safe, exciting, and memorable day on the water.
