Captain Don
Meet Don Merlo. He is an experienced charter captain bringing a lifetime of discipline, leadership, and passion to the water. A proud Canadian Navy Veteran with 14 years of service. Don developed the skill, precision, and calm-under-pressure mindset that now define his charter operations.
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Don grew up with a deep respect for hard work and the outdoors. Today, he calls Sooke home, where he shares his knowledge of the Pacific waters with guests seeking both adventure and unforgettable fishing experiences.
Above all, Don is a devoted father to two boys and a loving husband. His dedication to family, service, and seamanship shapes everything he does -- on and off the water.
